MADI + TIM

I love these two so much my heart could burst. Madi is one of my best and oldest friends, and we’ve been through so much of life together (hello awkward teen years). She provides so much laughter, wisdom and fun to what I like to think of as one of the best group of girlfriends on the planet.

This past year, Madi and Tim experienced sorrow and walked through grief that no one ever wants to see their friend go through, especially when that friend is across the ocean. To say her wisdom and light is stronger following this would be an overwhelming understatement and I have no doubt the world will feel her presence and hear her voice even louder because of what she’s walked through.
Getting the chance to be together so much of the summer, and finishing it off with this photo session (literally fit it in just a few days before we flew back to Ireland!) was a huge highlight of my last couple months.

If you don’t have a friend who is as fierce, strong, passionate and beautiful of a soul as this one below, well, I think you should get yourselves a Madi!

JER + KATIE

I’ve known Jer since we were 16!! His hairstyles have vastly changed since the start of that friendship, and I’m sure Katie is much more pleased with what’s pictured below. The summer we met at MYW, he started growing what became long, red dreads. There are stories that these dreads still exist in the form of a hat… but thankfully it made no appearance in this session!

These two are awesome, and following the photos below, we found what I will now dub the best ice cream spot in Hamilton (Big Scoops) thanks to them!

MADDY + KENNY || MUSKOKA WEDDING

If you would like to meet two of the sweetest souls, let me suggest you become friends with Maddy and Kenny. The great part about being a wedding photographer, is that you get to hang out with some amazing people all day long!

A perfect Muskoka backdrop was only the icing on the cake of this beautiful day, and love was radiating off of these two from beginning to end! Thanks for letting me be a part of capturing your story, M+K!

LIZ + ZACH

I lived in Mississauga much of my life and have never ventured down to the Toronto Beaches.. thankfully I had a very good excuse to go explore the area with these two. I’ve known Elizabeth pretty much since she was born! About five years ago I photographed she and Zach following their engagement, and this summer I had the chance to catch up as they celebrated their anniversary.

Taylor || Sufficient Grace

A very dear friend of mine recently started a new journey, sharing some of her life and wisdom through a blog - Sufficient Grace.  Taylor is one of those people that is so full of joy, and brings so much light and goodness wherever she goes. Her words and her experiences have already impacted me so much, and I would encourage you to read along as she shares over at Sufficient Grace
I had the pleasure of capturing some moments with her (and her husband, Chad!) as she prepared to launch this blog.

The Bissett family

Remember last fall when I shot THESE beautiful people? Well, exactly one week later, my sister-in-law delivered one very little, but mighty warrior.
He is exuberant, joyful and determined, and they are two incredibly steadfast and patient parents.
The appearance of a warm summer's evening is quite deceiving, but despite the cold breeze by the lake we managed to capture some sweet moments of their little family.

Berry Family || Newborn Session

There is something so incredible about seeing some of your *Berry* (sorry.. had to) best friends become parents. My words fail me in describing it, so instead - as I do - I'll use photos to tell you how much love I have for this new little family.

HUMAN + MOTHER

A friend of mine has her own little business selling Canadian-made and hand-dyed baby wraps. I had the privilege of shooting their Fall Lookbook which introduced three new beautiful colours to their line.
Working with babies and mamas is no easy task, but these three gorgeous ladies were up to the challenge and their beautiful babes modelled these wraps effortlessly!
Check out HUMAN + MOTHER here.

Eastern Canada

5,000 kilometres, a volkswagon, two bikes, and a lost (eventually found) wallet thrown in for good measure.

There isn't much more to say that these pictures won't be able to tell you.

Jordan & Claire || Engagement Session

Claire is one of those people that everyone wants to be friends with. She is fun, adventurous, and the most hilarious human EVER. Together, her and Jordan are probably one of the coolest couples you might have the privilege of knowing. Claire and I used to go on runs together and dream about being sisters.. well, now we are (thanks to her just marrying my husband's brother) and I could not be more excited about it!! We explored the small town close to Jordan's family cottage, and went back to catch that golden sunset on the dock.

Kinsey & Brad || Engagement Session

Being able to photograph my best friends is probably one of life's greatest highlights. Especially when they are as drop-dead gorgeous as they are. Kinsey and I go back to the cradle days. We grew up attending the same church, but it wasn't really until our teen years that we became such close friends.
Kinsey & Brad's story began quite far back as well, as the two really had their lives entangled since before they were born, with their parents being good friends. Their friendship grew into a teenage romance which then grew into such an incredible relationship, reaching across the province with Kinsey in Montreal, then Ottawa for schooling, and Brad in Waterloo, then Oakville.
Less than one week from today, Kinsey and Brad will be getting married at the most beautiful estate on the water. Two nights ago they had the chance to stop all the last minute TO DOs, and we retreated to the lake to capture that beautiful evening light together!

Dani & Ty || Engagement Session

Danielle & I have known each other since we were 16 years old, having met at one of the most beautiful places on earth - Camp. Danielle & Tyrone also met at this beauty of a place. But not really. It took travelling to Waterloo, ON, for first year university at Laurier, and them being placed in residency a floor apart from one another for the friendship to really blossom. And blossom it did. Danielle, Tyrone, and their third musketeer, Tim, were inseparable that first year. At first it was friendships all around, until the two of them realized how much they really loved spending time together.
That's where it all began. Here we are now, 91 days away from them "TYing" the knot ;) (didn't make that one up myself I'm afraid). They are two of the most fun, funny, and carefree people you will ever meet. They know how to laugh really well, and their hearts are even more beautiful than their faces (if that's even possible!).
I absolutely loved getting to capture some of their sweet, fun, carefree love behind my lens!
